Hi, I am a green card holder approaching citizenship in a couple years. Dealing with consulate stuff after long time. Dont know why they rejected..parents were told "apply once your son becomes a citizen". which has 2 more years to go.

Any insights/experiences?

Whats the guarantee that they will get a visa after 2years..the consulate might say, wait till you(parents) get your GC.

Our documentation was extremely thorough...I just cannot sleep after hearing from them.

Thanks for your time and input.

Your parents were unable to overcome 214(b).
There is no guarantee that they will get a visa after you become a citizen.
What citizenship do your parents hold?

They will have a tough time overcoming 214(b) even after you become a citizen. In my opinion, it will actually get tougher since having a US citizen child will make it easier for them to get GC status. Having said that, they need not wait 2 years. If there is a change in their circumstances, they may try their luck again after 6 months or so. I wish them good luck!!!

They are Indian.
