Visitor Visa Question - PLEASE HELP

My parents B2 visa was rejected last week at Chennai for 214(b) reasons. My parents were probably nervous and did not explain properly the ties in India and did not show the documents to the visa officer eventhough they had them.

So, we are planning to ask them to go for another interview two weeks from the first. Could anyone please say if two weeks gap is enough or should we wait a little longer for the second interview. Will going soon for the next interview affect the result? Thank you very much.

In 90% of the cases, the interviewing consul for B-1/2 visas just needs to review the DS-156 to make a decision. Thus you often hear rejected applicants complaining about the consul not seeing their documents, invitations, bank statements, etc. Your parents can re-apply whenever they want. However, unless there is drastic change in their circumstances from the time they had their first interview, I would not hold my breath for a favourable result. I wish them good luck.

Thank you very much Triple Citizen. I appreciate your helpful suggestions, not only to me, but also to so many people in this forum.
