Hi Dudes,

I am completely novice to this site and i need some advice from you folks on how to cancel the primary applicant appointment.

My query is:

Is there a way to cancel the appointment for the primary applicant without affecting the other person? My father has some emergency and he won't be able to attend the interview but my mom is willing to come here on B2 visa. But to my dismay i don't have a clue whether i will be able to cancel the primary applicant without affecting the other member to appear for the visa interview on the same appointment. Kindly guys help me in knowing how to resolve this issue.

Thanks and Regards
X

There is no "primary" or "dependent" applicant for B-2 visas. Each and every applicant (sans minor children) is an "individual" applicant who qualifies on his/her own. Now if the interview slot is in your father's name, I am not too sure how the slot name can be changed to your mother's name. That is a local consulate issue, not a Department of State visa requirement.
