Is anybody has in this situation! Help required please!

I planning to bring my in-laws on visitor visa. But my mother-in-law is my sister. I don't know anybody has in this situation. What should I fill in their visa application for the column 'Do you have brother/sister in America?' If she fills yes, will there be any negative effect?

Please give suggestions!

DO NOT GIVE FALSE INFO ON YOUR APPLICATION!!!! This will void your visa if the State Dept finds out.

Please refrain from throwing out comments and insults for no reason and without the full knowledge about the situation.

Marrying one's sister's daughter is an accepted practice in some parts of India (I do not know if it is the case all over). Obviously in those cases
the girl and the uncle would be of the same age or close together. In recent
times this practice is very rare because of two main reasons (and not because there is anything wrong with it). This may also be limited to one religion.

The families are far smaller and the age difference between an elder sister and her younger brother is not much.

People have realized that marrying withing the family may not be a good idea inview of the risk of genetic defects in ofspring.

To be accurate with what they are stating, she should say yes to that question, and may want to add a little sentence in explanation.
