visitor visa doubts -- please help!

hi ,

I got green card last year. This year unfortunately my father expired. And there is no one to take care of my mother in india. we are applying for visitor's visa for her. I've some doubts about it. If my mother get multiple entry visa,

1) can she enter US again (after 6 months visit) in one or two months? or does she has to wait for couple of months to enter US again?

2) i heard about some clause from a friend that after she visits us, we can apply for some petition in washington, DC, so that she does not have to go back, if we let them know that no one is there in india to take care of her. Is there any such clause??

i do not know so much about visitor's visa laws. i would really appreciate any suggestions.

Please accept my condolences.

Hard as it sounds your mother can return maby once in quick succession after a six month visit, but after that each visit carries an increasing risk that she will be deported and her visa cancelled. There is no petotione or hardship cluase available.

You will have to wait till ur citizenship to apply for her GC. Keep heart u can apply for citizenship at 4.5 yrs after GC. and then after she comes here file for I-130 for her as well as I-485 there is no wait for parents, so she will be able stay with you.
