My parents were at the consulate( Chennai) for their second visitor visa on Feb14. my dad was handed 221(g) administrative processing Pink Slip and my mother got 10 years. He recently retired as professor in BioChemistry. He visited US , UK and europe before, and left US before visa(6 months) expired.Now, on the Chennai consulate website his case number is bypassed in their weekly updates. We alreay sent response for 221G a received the automated email.The Question is
1) Does it mean his visa is rejected? or
2) His response is not received Or
3) They are still processing his case?
We are confused as whats taking so long and why the case number went missing on the website status update page.Should we call consulate or just wait? Any one in the same boat? Any ideas?
