Visiting India after changing companies

I came to US on a H-1 visa with a company, then I changed employers. My old H-1 stamp is still valid (till March 2002). Can I still travel to India and come back without getting a new visa stamped? What documents should I carry with me?

I want to ask the same question too. I ahve a H visa stamping(done in Canada)that is valid till 2003 and I have cahnged employers and have an approved 797(with i 94 attached)

Do i need to get new h1 stamping to reenter the US?
