Experts,
My parents would like to go to Canada to visit with relatives. They have the tourist visa. What will they need at the border passing Canada? Will they get their passports stamped? What really takes place with immigration?

Thanks,
Ellada

Do u mean they are here in US on tourist visa?

In the case ur parents are in US on B1/B2 and have multiple entry of US visa, they can leave/cross border to Canada anytime they want on base having Canadian visa on thier pp ,
I beleive all they wuuld need to give I-94 back,
"Yes" they /US-INS would complete the exit procedure of exit and stamp procedure involved yes stamped will be used on pp.

When they return I believe new I-94 will be issued.

Let ur parents aware of it that they must carry all INS doc(every single paper) with them when they re-enter to US. they never know what they/US-INS may ask to ur parents to show the ''XYZ" paper while they were here,

I am saying becz it was shared by someone that their parents from india were asked and didn't allowed to re-enter becz they didn't carry of approval of extention of thier last stay.

Good Luck
