Visiting Canada for H-1B visa, Can anyone answer this?

I have an appointment with US consulate at Toronto this month. My passport has a valid H1B visa on my previous employer\'s name which is valid for four more months. Will I be refused the same visa on my new employer\'s name as the remaining validity of old visa is more than 60 days.

I would appreciate your comments. Thanks.

Is it ok to apply for H1 visa if the remaining validity of the previous H1 visa is more than 60 days

I know for revalidation in St. Louis, your previous H1B visa stamp should have a remaining validity of not more than 60 days or it should not be expired more than a year. Is this the same in case someone is going to Canada for getting H1-B visa. My H1B stamp from previous employer is still valid for 4 more months can I go to Canada to get a new H1 stamp based on the I-797 on my new employer\'s name?

Your comments are appreciated.
Thanks.

there should not be any problems. even if they tell you that you have to get it done from US or India (which hopefully they will not) you can come back on your old one and then send it to St. Louis
