Visit Visa to Canda: How long does it take?

I am planning on a tourist visit to Toronto, Canada for a few days. I am also interested in visiting Montreal within a 3 to 6 month span.

1. How long does it take to get the visit Visa at Detroit/Buffalo?
2. Can I apply for it in person and get the Visa in a couple of hours?
3. What are the forms needed to apply?
4. Can I get a mulitple entry visit Visa for 6 months or will I be needed to re-apply?

Yes, obtaining visitors visa to Canada is pretty easy. You can walk into the Ambassy and fill the form with required fee. There are two separate fees for one-time visit and multiple visits. Look at their site.

st8, its pretty easy to get one

Take your last two payslips, and bank statements preferably of the last 2 months in original. A letter from you current employer stating that you are in a permenant job, it helps. All they look at is your financial status here and that u will come back here.

You can get it either in buffalo/Detriot, you should be there around 8AM sharp, they will accept applications only till 11/11:30AM, and you will get you passport stamped by 2-3 PM. I prefer Buffalo. I have been to Detriot also, its more crowded there.

You can get single/multiple based on your request, usually for H1's u get multiple entry till the expiry of your H1.

And if you trust the fedex to send your passport, you can get one by mail too!
