Visit India, with old employer H1 stamping + new employer I797

Hello folks,
I have taken up a new job 3 months ago. My passport has "old" employer H1 stamping until July 2007. Can I visit India :) and come back with my "old" employer H1 stamping and "new" employer I797 original (i.e. "without" having to visit the consulate for new stamping).

If there is any referance document on this issue, I would greatly appreciate the information.

Old stamp(unexpired) and new approval notice is good enough.
