Visa Waiver to B2?

Obviously I know the Visa Waiver can't itself be extended, but is it possible to apply for a 6 month Visitor's Visa whilst on the VWP?

I'm continuing to follow the guidelines of the VWP - getting out at the end of July before my 90 days is up...

How long does the Visitor's Visa take to come through?

You can apply for a B-2 visa only when you are outside the US.

Does my application for B2 void my VWP? So I can't travel on the VWP while I'm waiting for the B2 to come through?

No, it does not void your VWP. You can travel on VWP while your B-2 is being processed.

Okay, thank you. Does that work the same for Fiancé visas? Can I still travel on VWP while that's being processed?

Yes, but just be prepared for the possibility of being denied entry if you have a K-1 petition in the works.
