Visa validity until jan 2007 going to India

I am finishing my 6 yr H1 visa ion jan 7th 2007.
my employer had applied for 7th year extension.
I am planning to go to India in October and come back
during dec 25th( but my visa is stamped in my passport until 7th jan 2007)
Will immigration people allow me to enter into u.s.a because by that time
I will have visa for just 7 days in my passport. (is there any rule that when we are entering into u.s there should be atleast a visa valid for another 6 more months)
please help me I have to make decision faster

No problem even you can enter a day early. keep a copy of your H1 extension receipt.


But 7 days are highly risky in any problem in yur home country , flight strike etc, better enter at least 15 days early.
