Visa stamping vs Automatic visa revalidation
My wife is a Canadian Landed Immigrant, living and working in the US (Detroit) on a H-1B. She does not have her H-1B visa stamped on her passport. She has to go to Windsor on Thursday (may 4th) for a Canadian Citizenship hearing - day trip.
Profile:
=====
(1) 24 Feb 2003 she was issued a multiple entry B1/B2 at Toronto US consulate as a
Canadian Landed Immigrant. We were living in Windsor at that point in time and made
some weekend trips to US.
(2) on March 27 2004 she entered US on a TD visa. She got her TD stamping at US
consulate in Toronto
(3) She renewed her TD status while living within the US in Feb 2005. However we did not go
to Toronto for stamping
(4) Oct 2005 she converted over to a H-1B inside US. However we did not go to Toronto for
stamping
Given the above facts can she leave re-enter Unite States from Canada by Land border without having a H-1B visa stamped on her passport. She currently is on a valid H-1B status in US and is working for a US employer with pay stubs and everything.
