I am on H1 and planning to attend visa stamping at chennai consulate in Jan 2007. Form DS-156 asks whether I am a relative to any US citizen like brother/sister. My brother will get his citizenship this month. If I say yes is it going to be a problem? also I completed 6 years and I am on extensions based on pending labor basing on all these factors will consular office may consider that I am going to US with an intention of immigration? Please suggest me is it advisable to go to chennai for visa stamping? Should I ask my brother to delay his citizenship untill I am done with my stamping?

No, not at all a problem also I completed 6 years and I am on extensions based on pending labor basing on all these factors will consular office may consider that I am going to US with an intention of immigration?
Yes, you have definite intention of immigration but H1 visa support that unlike a F1 student visa. SO you no need to worry at all. Please suggest me is it advisable to go to chennai for visa stamping? Should I ask my brother to delay his citizenship (Are you mad? He is already a GC holder) untill I am done with my stamping?

Visa stamping question who has relative in US

Hi, did you get your visa stamped or did they deny based on the fact that you have a relative in US and you have intentions to migrate to US?
