Hi

I am planning to visit India and getting my Visa Stamped.
I have been here in US for the last 7 years and have an expired VISA in my PP that expired 4 years back and have a vaild H1 for the next 3 years.
While taking appointment it shows that you cannot take appointment if the last visa has been expired more than 12 months ago.

Does it mean :-
#1 --> I cannot take an appointment from Internet from US ?
#2 --> Can i get MO made from a HSBC bank in US ?

thanks..Loki.

Was that on VFS-USA website? That's something new ... when I took an appointment back in April 2007, my visa expired more than 17 months ... yet I was able to schedule an on-line appointment.

I think the question you are talking about is trying to determine if your status has changed (eg h4 to h1) in the past 12 months, and not if your visa is expired..

Thanks for your email.

It Says :-
"Are you applying for same visa class that expired in the last 12 months?*"

My Visa/H1b Stamp expired about 36 months back so definately the answer is 'NO'.
Am I interpreting it wrong.

thanks..Loki.

We too have the same problem. My H1 Stamping is expired 2.5 years back and so I answered 'No' for that question. So it shows appointment dates only in Jan. If answered 'Yes" appointments are available in December itself.

But I decided to go with 'No' and picked an appointment in Chennai in Jan.
