Hi guys,
the old website http://www.nvars.com is not valid anymore for US consulates in mexico. Now its http://www.visa-usa.com.mx/

Anyways, I am looking to book an appointment at the US consulate in Nogales through the website. However, there is a big problem. The only time available for appointment are all at 9 AM. The closest Banamex bank where you pay the visa fee also opens at 9 AM. one person cant be at two places at same time as you have to show your passport at the bank when paying fee

How do other people do it if they have an appointment at 9 am. Do i have to stay in Nogales Mexico for a night ?? that sounds scary.

Please advise me. I am really stressed over this.

Thanks all for your time and replies. :)

Stay overnight - its nothing to get stressed over :D

Two solutions,

take the draft and risk to go late, you might still be admitted for the interview.
try re-scheduling to a later time, re-scheduling is allowed once before cancelling your appointment i think, check it.

Good luck.

Hi Newbyte -

Can you please provide information on where you got your visa stamped. I want to use their services either in CA or AZ. If you have been to either of these locations can be please provide more info about using their services.

Thanks.

I got my visa stamped in Nogales,AZ on 3rd of Nov'05. The service will be expensive if you travel alone($450), if you are travelling with others its 450 for first person and 250 for additional person. The service includes mexico permit, $100 bank check for visa fee and ride to US consulate in mexico and back.

Hi Newbyte -

I do not know of anyone who wish to travel. How did you handle this ?
Can I talk to these guys first to make sure if some one is going on a particular day before making the appointment ?

Thanks.

Hi shak,

These guys are for money. I dont think they would give information about other people comming on the same day.

They never gave me information of other people comming on the same day(even after I paid the full amount). I had to talk the guy for 30 mins, after which he was only ready to give my contact information if somebody asked about people comming on same day.
This way we could only share the travel expenses from tucson,AZ to nogales(usa).

If you interview time is after 9:00 am then I would recommend to take a mexican visa at your nearest mexico consulate, rent an car in tucson(with insurance to drive in mexico), cross the border, take a bank check for $100(you can find a lot of banks at the border in mexico) and go to US consulate get stamped and come back. Its that easy.

Hi,
could u please share ur experience of H1B stamping at Nogales, US. I have heard that the folks are not good there. Thanks a lot.
