Hi friends,
I have a quick questions for the gurus. If I go to Canada to stamp my H1B visa and for some reason they reject it, can I still come back to the US or I\'ll have to go directly to India. Please help me. I am having an emergency situationl. I had posted a question before but nobody answered me. Somebody please help me.

Thanks

I am pretty sure you will not be allowed entry if you are denied

My letter from the US Embassy for my visa stamping appointment later this month warns that if you go to Canada (or wherever) for visa stamping and do not get it, for whatever reason, you will not be permitted back into the US no matter how valid an I-94 you may possess.

No Title

You will not be allowed to enter the country. Read the main page of this site and it gives you link to INS FAQ on this specific issue.

H-1 to be stamped in Canada

Tangodancer,
Can you please let me know the date you received that letter from the US Embassy...which states that:
"if you go to Canada (or wherever) for visa stamping and do not get it, for whatever reason, you will not be permitted back into the US no matter how valid an I-94 you may possess".
Actually I received a letter from them on 4th Feb (2 months before my interview date of 4th Apr). That letter did not mention anything like that....and, I was caught totally off-guard when they imposed this new rule on me as well. I had gone to Toronto to get the H-1 visa, thinking it will only take a day or two. Also, I had no information about the I-94 not being beneficial for re-entry.
Thanks

H1B visa stamping

Hi,

I would like to go for my H1B visa stamping to Canada in July 2002. Is Canada accepting such cases, and is visa given on the same day -\'coz I have to make my travel plans accordingly? Please someone reply - it\'s urgent.
