Hi
I am planning to go the Canada to get my visa stamped. My H1B has been extended into the 7 th year till April - 2007.
For getting the visa stamped , I need to to demonstrate to the Consulate Officer that it is my intent to return to the place where I have my assets (India), friends and residence. I have to show strong economic and social ties to India.
But when completing the DS 156 form I need to mention that my employer has filed an immmigrant visa petition on my behalf.
This is a conflicting statement. Is there a risk of the visa getting rejected because of this? Does it make more sense to wait for filing T485.

Thank in advance
Shashank

H1 is non-immigrant visa which allows immigrantion intent. there is no conflict if you are on H1.
