Visa revalidation in Chennai

Hello,

I'm a green card holder. My wife is on H1B and her visa has expired more than a year now.

We need to go Chennai, India and obviously she needs to go for visa revalidation.

Will my green card status cause any issue for the H1B visa revalidation ?
Especially the intent to immigrate.
I got married to her when she was in H1B here in US.

Does anyone know ? Has anyone gone through a similar situation ?
What questions they might ask ?

Just found out that the visa is expired within a year only.

Does that change the situation ?

Any advantage if the visa is expired within a year compared with the visa being expired more than a year ?

No there is no difference, as long as you extended your visa while residing in the US.
