I have changed my employer in April and my earlier visa is expiring on 30-Dec-2003. I have already rec my I-797 with new I-94

In this case will there be any problem getting visa revalidation. I have read so many threads on rejection. So getting very confused and tensed.

1. Does the change in salary effect or any other thing effect the approval. My new I-797 expires on Nov 2004

2. How many photos r req for revalidation. In Requirements its 1. But in some thread I read 2 photographs. Correct me please.

3. Which I-94 should I attach to my passport , the old one or the new one which I rec with I-797.

Can anyone explain me the exact diff between stamping and revalidation? Are both the same.

--- Don’t get confused or worried every case is different
1. Does the change in salary effect or any other thing effect the approval. My new I-797 expires on Nov 2004
------ salary will not be issue
2. How many photos r req for revalidation. In Requirements its 1. But in some thread I read 2 photographs. Correct me please.
----- One

3. Which I-94 should I attach to my passport, the old one or the new one which I rec with I-797.
----- Both the I-94 should be attached in passport and original H1 approval notice, pay the correct fees, employer letter on company letterhead, write in the cover letter the documents attached and send it by FedEx and one envelope for return the return envelope should have your address as FROM (your address) TO, (your address) and provide the same credit card# on both the FedEx receipts( use the credit card that has validity more than 5-6 months)

----- Not much difference REVALIDATION is when you revalidate the visa stamp in same classification from DOS if you had previous visa of same class in your passport.

Why is the FROM and To address same(my address) on return enevelop?

Secondly since I have two passports( New with the photo change, Old is only valid for visa) I am thinking of attaching my new I94( came with I797) on the new passport and old one on the old passport. CORRECT?

Again Thnaks for your help

Why is the FROM and To address same (my address) on return envelop?

------ You will send your passport and other documents in FedEx envelope to
US Department of State/Visa (Box 2099)
1005 Convention Plaza
St. Louis, MO 63101-1200
In the same envelope you will also send a prepaid FedEx envelope and in that prepaid FedEx envelope your Passport will be returned to you. On this envelope the address write as:
FROM
Your name, your address, your zip code
TO,
Your name, your address, your zip code
*** The reason for this change from DOS seems that they don’t want to take any responsibility if lost in mail that is the reason on return envelope you write your name as FROM and TO as your name and address so that the return envelope can reach to you and you will have your credit card# on that and can also track through the FedEx receipts as you will have 2 receipts or airway bill for 2 envelops with you ( don’t forget to take the receipts of both the envelops from FedEx)

Secondly since I have two passports (New with the photo change, Old is only valid for visa) I am thinking of attaching my new I-94 (came with I797) on the new passport and old one on the old passport. CORRECT?
----- Attach both the passport with staple and attach all the I-94 in the passport that is new or valid. You can explain in cover letter why you have 2 passports and write the reason so that they can understand it correctly. I did not understand from your language why you have 2 passports; one gets second passport if earlier expired or changes of name or lost the earlier or earlier passport damaged. Be clear.

Thank You

I had done a photo change on my passport so I have two. On the old one they have stamped "Passport Cancelled. Valid Visas in the passport not cancelled"

I am excatly specifying this in my cover letter.

Whereas for my native lang is Kannada. So can I write the native lang name handwritten in DS-157 .
