VISA not availble for I140 pending case

I requested senator & Congress man to check my pending I140 with VSC. According to them INS told , They do not have VISA for I140 application. that is reason my application is pending.

Any suggesstion or comment ?

Did you apply I-485 concurrently with your I-140? If yes then it could be true as they may be processing your applications concurrently and waiting on the availability of visa to approve the I140.Is it EB3??

srichalam, I filed 140 in NSC. And NSC is stuck at 08/03 for last one year for I-140 and my RD is 04/2004. In other words, they haven't passed my date yet. Do u think can i still able contact congressman or senator? Please enlighten.

if you haven't reached the

processing dates of your service center for your case, then there is no point in contacting senator/congressman. Basically, you know the reason before hand why yours is not being processed. our cases are different, we were just sidelined despite reaching the processing dates long long ago.

don't know , got the EAC nos for all the GC forms under EB3 and the date they received is 18 Jan on the caSE STATUS. DOES THIS MEAN THAT under EB3 creteria For I 1485 we will not
get the immigrant nos. OR EAC nos is an Immigrant nos.

Is it true, that we need vis number even for I-140 to be processed. I thought concurrent memo is cancelled, so even if one has applied I-140 and 485 concurrently, they will not be adjudicated together, and I-140 will be processed before 485. then why is I-140 waiting for visa number?.

I think, there is something wrong with teh reply given by the congressmen here.

Processing I-140 does not require a visa number. Visa number assigned at the end of I-485 processing or at the time interview

If you ask some one who got the GC before 2000 they will tell you how they were waiting Priority date to become to apply I-485 after the approval of I-140. Those people know well about the priority date as they use to wait priority date to become current for years

Anyone know when they will allocate visa for I140? Now a days 140 processing date is not moving at all.
