VISA interveiw rescheduling problem on VFS site

Hi

I have scheduled a web appointment on VFS website sometime back. Now the problem is I am getting "Invalid Mother's Name" error when i fill the fields given if I try to either view my confirmed appointment or re-schedule or cancel my appointment. I am sure I m giving the correct mother's name only. Anybody has any clues why this error?

I wanted post an update to my query myself. I got rid of this issue. Though I claimed in my post that I entered all correct details, infact I think I was entering wrong details related to mother name. Guess some typo mismatch between what I initially entered while taking appointment and now. The solution I got to this issue is, I had dependants also booked along with my appointment. So I gave one of my dependant details got to access to my forms. There on you can do whatever you want like cancel/prepone/postpone/etc.
If anyone facing the similar issue may find this useful.

I have got the appointment in dec. I would like to advance the date to somewhere in oct/nov.

In the rescheduling page(vfs-usa.co.in) says that

"Note:Rescheduling option does not allow you to prepone your interview appointment unless rescheduling to a priority appointment. If you wish to schedule to an earlier date you will have to cancel the existing appointment and schedule a new appointment after reentering all the information again."

I have read posts saying that the have advance their dates. Canceling the appointment before advancing the date is the ONLY option?

Recently the facility to reschedule appointment was removed by US consulate. If you want to take appointment to prior date, u must have to cancel and make new appointment.
