Visa formalities for my nephew

I have in the past applied visitors visa for my parents and in-laws, but have a question now when I am planning to do a similar process for my brother and his family (including a 12 year old nephew). I do possess US citizenship now and so I wasn't sure if that would the whole application process different, compared to a GC person.

I am not sure if the process is different when doing it for 12 year olds, but I know that for my brother and sister-in-law this is what is needed,

1. My citizenship document copies
2. Copies of ALL pages of sponsor's passport. (even blank apges ARE required)
3. Documents supporting your financial strength ( bank statements, pay stubs, 401(k), etc.)
4. Letter of employment from sponsor's employer with salary and employment start date.
5. Notarized affidavit of support I-134.
6. A letter written by sponsor addressed to US consulate outlining the purpose if their visit. ( sight seeing)

Documents required from India are:
7. Bank statements ( passbooks will do)
8. Any deposits/savings.
8. Proof of ownership of property ( house tax receipt will do)
9. Employment letters.

If I have missed out anything can some one correct me here.

Thanks,

Majblue,
You will not be "applying" for their visas. The most you can do is provide an I-134 in a attempt to strengthen their case.

Thanks for the response Triple Citizen.

You are correct - When my parents came over here, I had to support their visa applications by providing all these support documents, but those were before 9/11. I am not sure if things had changed over the past few years and so I went through the posts to pick the supporting documents. So, by just signing the I-131 and sending all the above supporting documents, is all is needed.

Was a bit worried about the 12 year old because I wasn't sure if I can apply for his visa alone as otherwise I had to apply for their parents too. He wants to come over here for about 6 months and since their parents are not ready to travel right now, we had to choose this route.

Any other pointers (about how long it takes for the whole process) would certainly be helpful

Thanks,

Majblue,
To be honest, if I am the interviewing consul and see a 12 year old using an I-131 from his uncle and not being financed by the parents, I would have my doubts. This is just my personal opinion. I hope your nephew gets his visa.
