Visa for Spouse living in India

Hi

My parents both got green cards in 2001 and after that my father went back to India after staying few years in US. My mother is now US Citizen but my father lives in India and his green card is now expired. Can my mother again apply for his visa , because now my father wants to stay with all family in US.

It would be great help to us if anyone of you update us with the things to do for that.

If he got his GC in 2001, it would expire next year, it would not be expired already. So I figure you don't mean his card expired, you mean it got invalidated because he spent over a year outside the US without a reentry permit. Is my interpretation correct, and how long has he been outside the US?

Yes you are right , it gets invalidated because he spent over a year outside the US,

How much longer than a year has he been gone? If not much, it may be possible to get an SB-1 visa.

He spent like more than 5 years in India, so its quite a while from now....
