Is it legal for the employer(petitioner) to ask a visa fee or a processing fee from employee? This is not premium processing.
Im aware of employment agencies asking for fees ranging from 1k to 3k USD.
Lets say employer is asking for 1000USD more or less for processing fee, this includes all other fees (could be attorneys fee and other fees that will be used for your visa processing)
If the consul officer asks: did you pay anything for your h1B petition? Is it ok to say, yes I paid xxx amount for visa fee.
