Hi,
I have a complex issue here. In short, I had applied for my passport renewal in August and have not got it till date, it is waiting on verification from the regional Indian Passport office . Now, my passport has expired in October and also and my I94 expires very soon (December 1st week). So, what should I do now? My company cannot file for an extension until i have a valid passport. Also, I cannot go to India without a valid passport.
Is there a US agency who deals with this? I called USCIS and they told that If my extension is not filed till the date it expires i need to show a compelling reason why it was not filed and documents that supports the missing of deadline.No guarentee that I will get the extension.
