VISA Bulletin update - Now what?

Hi,
My wife filed the follow-to-join application a few months before I get my greencard in 2005. Our PD is 21MAY01. The attorney told us that her case (I-485) will not get adjucated until a visa number is available for her. Now that the visa bulletin has been updated the PD to 01JUL01, what does it mean? Should we expect the case to be adjucated this month? Or the waiting game is not over?

Please advise.

Your wife should not need to wait for a visa number if she is follow to join. How did you get your LPR status?

I just don't know how is the follow to join when the person is inside the US. Your lawyer should know better though.

Thanks for your input, cherr1980. My wife has done her 2nd FP and passed the FBI name check (It's been quite a wait after that). The reason she did not get her greencard right away when I received mine was (I was told by the attorney) that she filed for the follow-to-join just a month before my greencard was granted.

The attorney also mentioned that USCIS wouldn't process my wife's case until her priority date is earlier than the cut-off date posted on the visa bulletin. She hasn't got back to us for a week now so we're quite concern.
