It seems INS is verifying Prioirity date when INS take up a case based on ones receipt date
It is looking only if the PD is current. Otherwise putting on stack....
Yesterday I talked with IIO
My case details: EB3 INDIA PD:05/97 RD:10/99;ND:10/99FP:08/00 No REF still waiting

IIO mentioned that they are waiting for VISA NUMBER AVAILABILITY.
Even I mentioned that PD moved to sept 1997. She said that they have not started assigning VISA NUMBER after
May 1997 PD cases. It will be taking 1-3 months to take a decision on this case...IIO is good and pleasant.

The IIO is correct. The new dates will go into effect on March 1, 2001.

Not true PD 6/97 Approved 3/2/01.
I don\'t believe the IIO is correct As my case was approved on 3/2/01. My details:
PD 6/97
RD 8/99
ND 9/99
FP 8/00
Approved 3/2/01
PP stamped 3/14/01

I think you should be pretty close in getting your approval.
