Hi ,
Currently a company has filled a H1B visa, I have got my Notice of Action (It contains my petition number) in the first week of June.
To my knowledge one can book an appointment only if he has an approved petition, which would contain petition number as well as its expiry date.
But my Company insists on booking an appointment before petition approval assuming my petition expiry date would be 30-Sep-2009. But I am afraid that in my personal appearance whether they would find I have booked an appointment before petition approval. I am not sure whether it is conventional practice to book an appointment like this.
So I am really confused whether to book an appointment before petition approval? Please give your suggestion
