I live in VIRGINIA and my EAD expires in few days. Is there any quick way(such as renewing in the local INS office) to renew my EAD in VA.

I heard from someone that you can renew your EAD from the local INS. Not sure how much faster the process is. Its best to make a trip to the center in Arlington or to call them.

My personal experience is Norfolk INS office processes very fast. It took 4 weeks for me for my EAD renewal(in March 2000). After you have applied, wait for the letter from INS office and you have to go there to get the new EAD card(they won\'t mail you the card!). If you want it by mail, you may have to send your application to the Vermont Service Center.
