BTW because of your regular exhortations to anyone posting an approval here to update rupnet, I made sure that i updated rupnet before announcing my approval here on this board :)).

Rupnet data really helps all numerical minded. We however have the new technology of Pingpong and his divya shakti for accurate predictions !!!

The Joy in seeing a rupnet approval email in Inbox and some statistics is the reason behind me pushing approved people to update rupnet.com [though i was given my own medicine...See the first posting on this thread :) ]

NYC Stamping Experience - DONE
Stamping done @ NYC today.
Reached around 7am and the Worth St Appt Queue was small[10 people ahead of me, while the general one was a biggggggg one]
Reached Room 800 and got Token#2.
After 15min, was called to counter again for Index FP/Signature and after an hour got the passport with I551 Stamping.
Out by 9am. Nothing asked.

SSN Office [31st Floor] and it took totally 30mins. Nothing asked.

So it was cool and easy.!
 
SSN has a clause..."Work with INS authorization only..."
After GC, this clause goes off...so they issue new card with the same SSN.

The New Card comes thru postal mail in 2 weeks time..

Congrats.
But it is strange that you have to hear your approval from your lawyer. I would have guessed that you would have updated your lawyer.
How come????
