I came to the United States as a Transfer Student on F-1 Visa. After coming here, the university I came to didn't transfer many of my credits so I withdrew admission from there. Right now I am at a friend's place in NC and I had applied for a change of status to B-2 and have also applied for admission to NCSU for the fall. My application for the change of status has been rejected. My admission decision at NCSU will be made within the next week. My question is if I am issued an I-20 by NCSU, then, is there anyway I can get my F-1 status reinstated in the United States itself? Also, is there any other way I can get a valid non-immigrant visa in the United States itself?
