Hello :

Recently i got my visa stamped from St.Lious, but petition # on my visa is miss typed..example

EAC-12-345-67890 (original on my H1 approval )

EAC-12-345-56890 (on my new visa stamped )

And i am planning to go on vacation to India in couple of days..
Will that be a problem at port of entry while comming back to usa ?
will it be wise to go to India with the same visa ?
if i want to get it corrected...how many days will it take and how do i get it done.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best and fastest place to correct will be at the US consulate at your home country. Since it was the error of State Dept it should not be a big deal at POE. Take the I797 with you always.
