Very strange, can N-400 interviews be conducted at Application Support Centers?

Got an initial interview notice to appear at my local ASC rather than my DO even though the address on the bottom was for the DO but the address as to where to appear is my local ASC. Is this an error on USCIS's part?

For me in Detroit, the ASC and DO were the same place. Go to the address they told you to go to (the top address).

Called USCIS today and they checked and said my scheduled interview location is indeed an ASC but is also a Satellite Office so there shouldn't be a problem interviewing there. What's the difference between an ASC and a Satellite office? Still find it very strange as that office only has 2 people in there most of the time and has no interview rooms that I know of. And the USCIS helpline has been known to give wrong information so I don't want to totally rely on what they said. Any help on this would be appreciated thanks.

Since your ASC is closeby, why don't you just walk in couple of days before your interview date and check with staff there. You may find they are already conducting interviews there!!!! Or may be making arrangements for same.
