Guys: Here is the latest update on my case.

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On May 11, 2006, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete

I was expecting this time the message would be approval, but they just put me back on the pipeline. The language is as though they have just recieved my application. Very sad. Will what happens next....   ;) :p

This is a GENERIC message all of us (approved) got after submitting the evidence to USCIS. There is nothing to worry about. Usually it takes about 2 months for USCIS after the point of submitting the evidence and getting that message to approve the case. Again, all of us got it at some point. My case was approved within 2 weeks after recieving that message (March 23-rd). Check my signature.

I had this message for my case, when it was transfered to wrong DO and transfered back to the service center. So please check in detail about what they did. If possible, call them or take infopass.

at least yours says 570 or something days mine was like 800+ days isn't that stress? So i am not sure why i got "favored" with the 750-800 thing the inconsistency from this end(applicant) never fails to concern me.

This was my receipt message way back in Feb may i add the frustration smilies :(

On February 24, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 850 and 900 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

will be less than the maximum stated in this message.

What exactly were they thinking when they posted this reply? the lesser of the days is 850 common now! Ain't this a trip

Notice of Action that I received from the NSC in Septmber, 2001 sounds really optimistic: It is taking between 350 and 370 days for us to process this kind of case. The end result: no sign of approval in sight. The moral: do not try to look for any kind of logic in the actions of the CIS. Asylee AOS is random. That's the reality.

faysal,

today i made an inquiry with my congresswoman's office. i will let you know what they say with mine. do not worry. i think you will be fine by the end of summer.......

Dont worry Mr Faysal,

I had received a decision (a USCIS official letter) on my spouse's I730 on XX-XX- 2004 stating that the case was approved, but IO picked a wrong statement to be posted as her case status on USCIS web site.

The message he/she posted was "On XX XX, 2004, this case was reopened on a BCIS motion, and the case is now in process. It is taking between 240 and 270 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete" and this message is still there on their site even though my wife is done with her I-485 medicals and bio 3 etc on the basis of that paper approval notice.

I will say... do not give too much consideration to these messages....sometimes they can go wrong as well...

Same as here. I was approved but just because USCIS could not find my Bio 2 in file card was not produced therefore I received another Bio appointment which I completed last Thursday & received 5 E-mail notifications from USCIS but message is an old one ' On June 20 Case has been transfered to NSC bla..bla..bla we'll mail you a decesion as soon >>>>>>>>>>>> the same message I used to get last year way before approval. I am very much paniced like you too but good part is atleast I have the official approval letter from USCIS that was issued to me back in Feb 9h after 485 was approved. So I bet Singh is right instead of selecting the right message IO chose the wrong one. First of all I was fricked out with the message & started calling USCIS everyday but everytime I called heard the same thing & yes case is approved but just for Bio missing plastic wasn't produced. Now that I even completed that part last week I do hope to get the plastic soon.
I bet USCIS often loves to keep us under this kind of mental stress. Don't know why but that happens sometimes. That's why I always say that Wish them USCIS IO's just treat us more like a human than some case files.
How would they feel if others treat them this way.
So don't worry Faysal & just ignore the message.
Atique.
