Facts
I was born in Canada
I was raised in the US
My Mom (parents divorced at the time, she had primary custody) naturalized when I was 17 (this is before Feb. 2001)
My dad naturalized later, when I was older
I was convicted of felonies and sent to prison
INS visited me in prison
INS never followed up with removal
I am legally a citizen (through the automatic derivitive mechanism when my mom naturalized).
The US government has no record proving I am a citizen (though I legally am)
I am trying to go back to Canada, but am unable to as I am on probation and to just leave would be a violation (thus making me eligible for extradition).
I would like to bring to the attention of USCIS that I have violated my PR status by committing felonies, enter into proceeding for removal, and voluntarily depart.
How can I do this?
