Hi Friends, today I received an email from our attorney stating that my photos have been rejected because they are digital. I have inquired in couple of stores, they say they do only digital and never had this kind of problem.

Please advise. Thanks.

Its NOT rejected because they are digital. Its rejected because its either not come out bright enough/proper size..follow USCIS guidelines and send photos again.
By the way I also sent digital pictures and they accepted it.

My photos for AP were rejected due to the same reason and they were from good photo shop chain. I had the same chain but a different location and there has been no issue. The guy at the second store told me that even the quality of paper matters. Digital is OK as long as it does not look digital (i.e. pixalated).

Rgds,

Unless you go to a lab with really obsolete equipment or your photo is made with instant Polaroid (butt-ugly stuff), your photos are going to be "digital". Modern printing machines scan the film, and beyond this point there is no difference in printing process between film and digital.
All the way throug GC process I submitted digital photos. I shot and edited them by myself and then got them printed in a good lab. Never got any problems with those photos, even my US-born sun has home made photo in his passport.

By the way, newly published USCIS photo requirements explicitly endorse digital.
