Hi Venki,
I have seen ur messages, thankyou so much for ur reply,i have few more doubts .... plzzzzzzzz clear them.
1) i was out of status for mroe than 10 months, will that be a problem near POE? what questions do they ask? will they question abt out of status at all?? if they will, then what should i say? what r the forms to be taken along with me? is it safe to go in flight or by car to canada?
r there any chances they will stop me before entering?? what are the chances??? plzzz help me out .... reply me soon .... Thankyou so much ...

I understand ur situation as i have been in it before.Dont worry i will share my xperience with you.firstly have u been issued a new I20 with new sevis ID.Secondly u have to pay $100 Sevis fee.Collect as many recommendations letters as possible from ur DSO,profs etc.Carry the reciept of 100$ SEVIS fee.i travelled to canada by air u can obtain a visitor visa by showing the new I20.The advt in flights to us from canada is that the us immigration is done in canadian airport itself rather than POE in usa and the traffig is usually high so the officers dont have much time to spend on you,but if there is a red flag recorded against ur name they will send u inside for interogation,just tell them the truth as to wy u fell out of status,also dont forget to carry a recent financial stmt.

thankyou so much for your suggestions. they cost a lot to me. i have one more question? is it safe to travel outside US even though i m more than 10 months out of status??
one more question plz ....
who will have the red flag beside there name? did u have that and undergone tht situation? if so what r the chances of allowing me into the country????? and what if they dont allow me?
