-> Received mail on 04/18 indicating my name check was cleared on 04/15

-> Initiated status inquiry and got same response on 05/03 that my application pending security clearance, delay due to lack of manpower

Can you guys help me understand how long it takes to get the name check transfered from Washington to Vermont and subsequent approval.

Any suggestion on expediting the process. Thanks for your help.

Good. You are on firm footing now. With the name check mail response, send an expedite request to VSC indicating that the name check is complete and your case is ready for adjudication.

In the mean time get a congressmen inquiry through. You have to provide all your correspondence details to them for pushing the case forward.

FBI responded back on 4/21, for the inquiry I sent some time in Dec 2004, stating that name check process had been completed and sent the results to uscis. USCIS reponded back for the status inquiry that I initiate on Mar 9th that the visa was not currently available on March 29th. My PD is 04/09/02 which is now 06/01/02.I have to wait till May 29th before I can initiate another status inquiry. :mad:

I got the answer, today I got approval email exactly 26 days after my name check is cleared. Good luck
