VCS Closed on Emergency Today (05/09/01)

I tried calling VCS today I got message that today VCS closed on emergency, if anyone spoken to any IIO today, Please post here. Thanks

i think they are. The AVM says, Please call during business hours. Eventhough i called at 10 a.m.

I heard that VSC is closing down operations. All pending cases will be transfered to the local INS offices.

This is not ture. I just called the INS at VSC. The call went through and after the regular message and it prompted me to talk to an immigration officer( But I decided not to talk)

seems to be a phone system glitch only. I was able to access the AVM and it did prompt me to speak to an IIO (which I didn\'t)

Yes, I too was able to get my case status using the AVM...and when I pressed \'0\', it asked me to hold as all the IIO\'s were busy...so, it seems to be a temporary phone system glitch...I didn\'t hang on to speak with an IIO...spoke with one just last week...so, was concerned that they would yell at me for calling often.
