i guess uscis is waiting to raise the filing fee for I485 from $395 to $900 before moving the prority date. I140 also is going to increase to $475. this is too much man! they are going to make us to live without eating anything.

Things are going to get worse then this.... unless congress passes CIR bill. In past 5 years .... American economy has done well and there was tremendous infulx for foreign telant and it continues.

Does Vb make any sense anymore? Even if you have visa # available, if you are stuck in name check, then it really makes no sense.
I read it this way, FBI security clearance is an universal equalizer, even if your application falls in a priority employment, it depends on your security clearance,
instead of VB by the state department, FBI should come up with a website that says that USCIS receipts # so and so have been processed. This would be a better indicator rather then the VB.
My understanding is visa availability is not directly proportional to visa issuance,
other factors do play a role in this and these days these factors seem to be the primary determinants.

huge amount of cases were pending and those LC based cases are approved by backlog centers now, which far exceeds the annual quota limit. when those caeses were pending it was moving, now they are approved and all are now applying I140 after their LC approved. as NIW and LC both are under EB2, NIW is suffering by LC although they are less compared to LC. we have to keep only hope and proceed as usual. hope luck is in our side.
