Validity of medical tests - how long ??

Are the medicals for submitting for 485 once done, valid for one year?

Could you please tell me what the regulations say on the time frame of the validity of the mdeicals? My attorney was saying that they would be valid for only 3 months and hence i wanted to check out before getting them done!

Medicals are valid for 1 yr before they are submitted. Once submitted, they are valid forever.

One of my friend whose case was transferred to local BCIS office Newark NJ and his I-485 was pending more than 16 months with VSC has been requested to submit new Medicals and to go for Finger prints again before the interview date.
