Validity for B2 visa

Hi,

My brother has a B2 visitor visa issued in Delhi consulate. He had planned for a trip to the usa through a travel agent. The trip was for 20 days. He got his visa for 10 years.

Unfortunately he cannot travel to the US with the travel agent due to personal reasons. My question here is "Can he make a personal travel to visit me sometime next year and not come through the travel agent, though his visa was initially applied through the travel agent"?

Any advice will be appreciated.
