In my wife's Immigrant Visa packet which I received after interview, on the top right corner there is a stamp :
VALID ONLY IF ACCOMPANYING OR FOLLOWING ON WITH SPOUSE/FATHER/MOTHER .

The Father/Mother part is striked out with hand.

Does that mean that if I enter US first, she can follow-on-to-join afterwords; say 2-3 months? or we both have to be (A MUST) together to enter US? During interview I was asked if your wife will be accompanying you and I said "Yes".

Thanks in advance

What this means is, what you said first.

She can EITHER come with you (OR)
She can follow later, but within 6 months.

It is not mandatory that you both should travel together.

Thanks for the reply .

Actually, my wife is 7 months pregnant and that's the reason she can't fly with me. Hence, I am planning to enter US first.

Then, when the child is born we will get the child's Birth Certificate and Indian Passport. To-gether with her Immigrant Visa packet and child's Birth Cert. and Indian Passport, she will come to US . Is this OK? or there is some other procedure because of the child?

I understand that the child of any LPR parent can enter within 2 years provided any one of the parent is entrying the US for the first time. is this right understanding?

Thanks for the attention and awaiting reply from the GURUS !

Anybody could share or give inputs for my case would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
