USPS address change service

Dear all,

I participated 2011DV. Recently I decide to relocate to a larger apartment. One of my friend told me that "government mail" will be sent to the old address even having applied for address change through USPS. Is it true? Please advice. I understand that I can check online in July...:confused:
 
You can ask that they forward your mail, but I think they will only to it for a certain time. You can also check the results online July the 1st...
 
You need to inform KCC of your address change and add all your info like case # and other # you have received and wait for their answer.

I wouldn't worry. I was in the same situation in 2009 and received my 1st NL at my new address by using USPS forwarding service.
I didn't contact the KCC between my online application and receiving the 1st NL, but like Bentlebee says it can hurt.
