using H-1B visa

Hi,

I would like to know some information about H-1B. One of my friend came to US by B1 visa, and his company applied new H-1B visa premium processing and now he is having H-1B visa. But still his I-94 is in Business visa status.

My question is:

1) Can he be able to use his 'New' H-1B visa to do corp-to-corp or H-1B to H-1B transfer to another employer?

2) Is stamping is required to use H-1B?

3) Can he be able to get SSN using this 'New' H-1B?

He is not interested in doing B1 to H-1B transfer.

Please let me know your suggesions and advise.

+++++++++++++++Yes, because he did not get adjustment of status (receive a new I-94 with the H-1 approval).

3) Would he be able to get SSN using this 'New' H-1B?

+++++++++++++++++++Not without a visa.

He is not interested in doing B1 to H-1B transfer.

Please let me know your suggesions and advise.
