Using AP, No H1 Extension

Gurus,

Please give some info on using AP and NO H1 extension case.
I am planning to visit India next month and going to use AP to come back. My H1 will expire while I will be in India. I have NOT applied of H1 extension and will work on EAD after coming back for the same employer. My EAD and AP are valid till October 2008 and have applied for renewal.

Questions:
1. Does anyone know if there any problem to come back to US on AP and not having H1 extension?
2. What documents should I carry?
3. Which form do i need to fill for US immigration when come back? I-94?

1- AP is issued for the purpose of using it to come back with or without H status, so, it is OK to use it without H extension
2- AP, Passport, I-94
3- I-94
