I have valid AP/EAD. my 140 is pending. Still i am working under H1. I am going to apply 485/EAD/AP for my wife soon.She is in H4 visa now.

Can i make a business trip using AP? my wife is going to stay here.

what is her status after i entered thro AP?

AP will be useful when travelling (back) into US only. Next time your wife wants to travel out of US (even bahamas) and comes back she should have a valid AP. That is all.
 
venkatsri, I am in the same situation. My I140 has been pending since 8/26/03 in NSC. My wife is H4 and has offers(no H1 sponsorship) at hand. I want to let her use EAD but some people said it's too risky to use EAD before I-140 approval. She will lose H4 as soon as she uses EAD. How do you think about it?

Regarding your question, you will maintain your H1 even after using AP, as long as you still work for the same employer. So, your wife will still keep H4 if she doesn't use EAD.
