Hello,
I am on H1 status( changed from H4 to H1 before applying I485) and I don\'t have H1-visa stamp in my passport. Our I485 is pending with my husband as primary person.I am planning to go India and re-enter U.S using Advance parole.
1.Will there be any problem for me as i don\'t have H1 visa stamp in my passport and My H4 visa has expired three months back?
2.How do they handle Advance Parole cases at Port of entry and the Airline companies?
3.What supporting documents should i keep handy while traveling?
Anyone who has used Advance Parole to re-enter U.S ,Please share your experience.
Thanks,
ssconn

Do you have EAD. my wife is also in the same boat, but she has EAD.
If you have EAD, 485-reciept and AP you can travel. anyway check with your lawer in your case.

No problem

I was travelling from Bangladesh by britrish airways and did not have any problem with leaving or entering different ports. However, I did carried my EAD all the time when I was on travel. Don\'t worry and have a good time.

Yes i do have EAD,But I will start working on EAD only after i come back from India.IS it O.K?
Sayeed Saladin, did they ask you any questions regading your AP, I mean how did they handle when you said your are using AP?
Did you hand over your original AP at port of entry or to the british Airlines?.
Do they give new I 94 when we re-enter U.S?
When we apply for AP ,Actually how many original AP documnets do we get?(I had applied for AP at local INS, and was told that it will take 15 working days)
I heard that we should keep on original AP with us always. Is it correct?
thanks
